Employment Contract Law Conference
Finally, the two days conference has ended today. x_x It was quite exhausting, but very informative as well lah… The conference was in The Star, today, at page 26, so we were told by one of the speakers. Yalah, there were a lot of press yesterday, since Human Resources Minister, Datuk Seri Fong Chan Onn was there as well. Overall, the talk was OK lah… The best speaker I’d say, was a partner from ZICO, Mr. Thavalingam. The second best, would be Mr. Lim Heng Seng from LHAG. Hehehe…
Now that the conference has ended, I have to go for Due D lah tomorrow… x_x I hope I will be able to stand the Due D thingy… *sigh* Oh well, everything is always a learning experience, right. I’m sure I can learn something beneficial from this Due D ^_^
There’s something worrying me though, but let’s just leave that in my own thoughts lah, k… =p
What else ah… Nothing much to say, actually. Been stucked in this 2 days conference, so not much to say lor… But oh yeah, I made quite a number of new friends. Most of them joining the conference are from the HR Department of various companies and some are even the CEO. So, it was quite an experience lah for me. Met a number of people from Sabah as well. Their company sent them all the way from Sabah. Nice oh.. I remember this one cool lady, Ms. Amy Tan. She’s really nice & friendly. I really like her cool & chic hair style lah. She’s from KL, but has been working for 5 years in Sabah and retiring next year. I hope I can be as cool as her when I’m retired. Hehe…
And yeah, there’s Stephenie… The only chambering pupil there, besides me. She’s from Tay & Partners. I first knew her during the Legal Aid Introduction session at the KL Bar, actually. Fancy meeting her again at the conference. Both of us became good friends for these 2 days lar. Haha… *wink*wink* It was really fun with her around. We sat at the same table, but with a lady from Shell sitting in between us. Hehe.. But that lady was really nice as well lah. I bumped into her on the first day, at the lift actually, so that’s why we ended up sitting next to each other, since we didn’t know anyone on the first day. =p

Due Diligence
Today, I met Mon and Steph at Mid Valley Mega Mall… Sorry, Farah… I just opened up Friendster today, and I just noticed your comment. Aiyah, could have ajak you to come along as well lah… Anyway, we met just for a while lah. We met at around 11.30 a.m. Then we had lunch at the Food Court and talked, talked, and talked… Then, at 2.00 p.m. I started to feel uneasy because actually I’m supposed to go for Due D at the client’s office. I actually told the LA in charge that I’m coming a bit late today, as in 12 noon or 1.00 p.m. And it was already 2.00 p.m. at that time liao… So, at 2.00 p.m. I left and went to the client’s office for Due D lor… BUT… it turned out that they were actually leaving oredy. Since the client’s office hour on Saturday was actually half day only, then we can only stay until around 3.00 p.m. So, yeah… Had to leave lor… I might just as well don’t come, right.
Anyway, why am I doing this Due D stuffs now? Well, it so happened that I’ve been chambering for 4 and a half months oredy and it’s time for me to rotate to the Corporate Department. Actually, my rotation to the Coporate was supposed to be on Thursday, but I was at Johor Bahru attending an auction on that day. So, yeah, officially I rotated to Corporate on Friday, after I went to see my Supervisory Master in the Corporate Department.
And all of a sudden, I’m asked to join this Due D thingy, which I was told, would last for around 3 weeks. *sigh* I don’t mind doing Due D, actually… But I just need some time to adjust with this transition from Litigation to Corporate. I still have some work to settle in the Litigation team mah. And I’ve been asked to join a conference on Employment Contract Law at Hotel Nikko on Monday and Tuesday. Then of course, I won’t be able to join the Due D lor… I do feel guilty and irresponsible in way. It’s not that I hate Due D. I’ve just tried Due D for less than half of the day on Friday, and I don’t really mind all the typing, as long as I know what is the BIG PICTURE and the reason for doing the Due D. I really appreciate the fact on why we’re doing the Due D. It’s something new and worthful to learn lah… But, yeah… Although I am ever willing to commit myself to this Due D thingy, I do need some time to dispose of my other obligations in Litigation as well, right. *sigh* All these are actually making me stressful liao…
Anyway, let’s talk about something else lah. Yup, the meeting with Mon and Steph just now was not enough, seriously. And to think that I might not have the chance to meet Mon again after she left for Sabah tomorrow, is really a sad thought. I love her so much, as a friend lah.. =p I really would miss her… Mon, I wish you all the best in your upcoming interview, and hope that you will get to work with the AG here. Hehe

My Graduation Day!!!
It was a blast!!! ^_^ I’m so happy today! Yay! Meeting up with a lot of ol’ friends… Catching up with their daily lifes… Taking lots of photos and yeah, meeting up with former lecturers.
Seriously, the few hour was not enough to really talk and chat with ol’ frens. Geez… I really miss those days when all of us were together doing our hons… Stucked in the class from morning till night, sometimes from one morning to the other, finishing up with projects and files, and the overnite study groups. Sure miss all that!
The few hours spent just now was certainly not enough to really get together with ol’ buddies… *sigh* I wish we all can spend time together again, doing the stuffs that we used to do. I really need to catch up more with Mon, my best buddy. But she’s busy with her parents… And my hp was TOTALLY out of battery at the end of the day, that I couldn’t even sms her.
Even the meeting with Mike, Abg Zainal, Ida & Boyot was too brief, and unlike the ol’ days, we didn’t spend much time together. Uhmm, yeah, and as usual, this one fren broke his promise lah… Saying he would call, but he didn’t. And saying that we should go to our ol’ hangout place and spend time together like we used to, but in the end, there’s really nothing lah… Haha. It’s okay, we all understand his ‘way’ of doing things oredy. We’re so used to him saying all that, that we really didn’t expect anything. xp Hehe… If he’s reading this, he’ll know that I’m talking about him, but what the heck… x_x

Okay… Just spent about an hour talking with Mon over the phone. Hmm, maybe we’ll meet up this Saturday lah.
It’s so late now. I need to pack my things now… Tomorrow morning I’m going to Shah Alam and then to JB in the evening. Will be back by Thursday evening and then will head straight to the Pupil - Master Trivia Night thingy at night… Hmm…
A White Guy and A Chat
Just something different today… I met with a ‘new friend’ on the way back from work today. It’s a VERY good looking ‘Mat Salleh’ lah. We talked for a bit and he invited me for a coffee with him and his friend. But of course lah, I said, "no"… x_x
Yeah, despite the fact that he’s VERY good looking and nice to talk to, he’s still a STRANGER, right? -_-’ And I really hate it when guys (any guys, white or black, asian or english, or whatever) suddenly ask you to go out with them without really knowing me as a friend… So, yeah I told him, no thanks and that I wanted to go home straight lah. He insisted a couple of times, but still, I said "no" to him. I hate it when people wanted me to do something that I don’t want to… x_x
Then, finally I said, maybe some other time. Then, only then he bugged off and said ok, see u next time… (Which I hope I won’t) -_-"
And no, I didn’t give him my number. I gave him a wrong number =D Muahahaha…
Oklah… That’s it for today. Can’t wait for my convo tomorrow! ^_^
